Timber and composite decking cleaning in South West London
Timber and composite are different materials. We start with the board type and its condition, then choose a cleaning approach that respects the surface rather than chasing maximum pressure.
Ask about your decking
What the work covers.
Sound timber and suitable composite boards. Tell us the manufacturer if you know it, especially for specialist products such as Millboard.
- Check for rot, loose fixings, splinters and existing coatings.
- Identify the board product where possible and refer to its care instructions.
- Agree a test area and an appropriate cleaning method.
- Clean accessible boards and agreed edges, following the grain on timber.
- Discuss drying and whether a separate maintenance finish is needed.
A couple of useful answers.
Can pressure washing ruin decking?
Excessive pressure or working too close can damage timber fibres and some composite surfaces. There is no universal setting for every board. We assess the deck and use its manufacturer guidance where available.
Is oiling included?
No. A maintenance coating needs a separate scope, a suitable dry surface and the right product. We can discuss what is needed after cleaning.
