How much does pressure washing cost?

The area is only part of the price. Material, staining, access, drainage and joint work all matter. Send a postcode, wide photo and a close-up, plus approximate dimensions if you have them. We confirm the scope and price before you book; there is no automatic online price.

Can you give me a quote from photographs?

Photographs are a good starting point. Show the whole area, the surface close up, the worst marks and the access route. If the condition or drainage is unclear, we may need to inspect before confirming the price.

Can the work be finished in a day or two?

That is a useful aim for straightforward residential cleaning, not a promise for every property. Size, access, weather, drying and treatments affect the programme. Re-sanding can need a separate dry-weather visit. We confirm the plan with the quote.

How soon can you come?

Call or send your postcode and preferred dates. We confirm current availability directly. The website does not show live appointment slots, and sending a form does not reserve a date.

Is there a minimum charge?

Small jobs still involve travel and setup. Any minimum visit charge will be shown in your individual quote. Combining a path, steps and patio may make better use of one visit.

Will pressure washing damage my paving?

It can if the material is fragile, the joints are failing or the method is too aggressive. We check the surface and agree a suitable method. Some surfaces need gentle cleaning or repair first, and some should not be pressure washed.

Why do black spots remain after jet washing?

They may be lichen, deep staining or natural features in the stone. More pressure is not always the answer. A compatible targeted treatment may help after assessment, but complete removal cannot be guaranteed.

Does block paving need re-sanding?

Cleaning can displace jointing material. Suitable sand-jointed block paving may need compatible sand restored after the blocks and joints are dry. Permeable systems use their specified aggregate. Ask for joint work to be listed in the quote.

Do I need to seal the driveway afterwards?

Sealing is not automatically necessary. The paving product, existing finish, moisture and intended use decide whether it is appropriate. It is a separate decision and price, not something added to every clean.

Can you remove oil, rust and tyre marks?

Some marks improve; others penetrate or react with the surface. Tell us what caused them and how old they are. Any suitable specialist treatment is separately agreed, with realistic expectations about what may remain.

Will the weeds come back?

Cleaning removes surface growth and debris in the agreed areas. It does not permanently prevent seeds landing in the joints. Appropriate joint maintenance and regular sweeping help; established roots may require separate work.

Can you clean porcelain and natural stone?

Yes, where the material and installation are suitable. Porcelain, sandstone and limestone have different care requirements. Let us know about sealers, coatings and previous products, and send a close-up of the joints.

Can you clean timber, composite or Millboard decking?

We assess the board type and follow the relevant care instructions where available. A method suited to concrete may damage a deck. Rot, loose fixings and failing coatings must be discussed first.

Can you clean render and external walls?

Suitable accessible walls can be assessed for cleaning. We do not assume high pressure is safe for render, old brick or painted finishes. Height, cracks, openings and condition may mean a specialist is the better choice.

Do you need an outside tap?

Tell us what water supply is available before booking. We check access to a suitable supply and the practical setup as part of the quote. Do not assume we can work without water at the property.

What if there is no side access to the garden?

Show us the route in your enquiry. Tell us about internal flooring, narrow doors, stairs and anything that cannot be moved. We agree a workable access and protection plan before accepting the job.

Do I have to move furniture and plant pots?

Please mention anything that needs moving. Light items and heavy planters are different tasks. We agree who moves what before the visit so cleaning time is not lost and fragile items are handled appropriately.

Is it safe around children, pets and plants?

Keep children and pets away from the work area and any wet or treated surface. Tell us about ponds, planting and sensitive areas. Any product has its own precautions and re-entry instructions; we explain the arrangements for your job.

Where does the dirty water go?

We assess drainage and the likely runoff before starting. Dirty or chemically treated water must not simply be directed into surface-water drains or a pond. If a suitable collection or disposal plan is not practical, the method or scope has to change.

Do you use chemicals or just water?

It depends on the material and problem. Some jobs need water and mechanical cleaning; others may benefit from a compatible treatment. Products, precautions and any extra cost are agreed before use. We do not describe every treatment as harmless or chemical-free.

Can you work in the rain?

Light rain may be manageable for some cleaning. Heavy rain, frost, high wind or unsuitable treatment conditions can change the plan. Sanding and coatings need their specified conditions. We confirm any rescheduling directly.

When can I use the patio again?

That depends on the surface, drying and whether a treatment was used. We give you handover advice for your job. A wet clean surface can still be slippery, and product instructions may require people and animals to stay away longer.

How often should paving be cleaned?

There is no useful fixed interval for every garden. Shade, trees, drainage and use affect how quickly it gets dirty. Sweep leaves and soil regularly, keep drainage clear and assess the surface when growth returns.

Are you insured?

Ask us for current cover details and evidence before booking. We can discuss the cover relevant to your proposed work.
