A short checklist for a smoother cleaning day
A little preparation leaves more of the visit for cleaning. Agree the practical details with us before the day.

Show us the route
Mention gates, narrow doors, stairs and any passage through the house. Tell us about parking restrictions and who can provide access. Do not move heavy planters without agreeing a safe plan.
Clear what you have agreed to clear
Move small breakable items and the furniture you have agreed to handle. Keep doors and windows closed around the work. Tell us about loose pointing, electrics, vents and previous repairs.
Think about people, pets and planting
Arrange a way for children and animals to stay away from the work area. Point out ponds and delicate plants. Ask what precautions apply if a treatment is included.
Agree water and runoff
Confirm the available supply and let us see the drainage. Surface-water drains are not a general disposal route for contaminated wash water. Runoff planning is a job-specific decision, not an afterthought.
Allow time for the handover
Look at the result together where practical. Note any remaining marks, drying advice, access restrictions and return work. You should know what is finished and what is still scheduled.
