The clean is only part of a block-paving refresh
The gaps between the blocks deserve as much attention as the top surface. Agree their treatment before the cleaning starts.

Know the paving system
Conventional sand-jointed blocks and permeable paving are not the same system. The replacement jointing material needs to suit the installation. Ordinary kiln-dried sand is not a universal answer.
Check what cleaning displaces
Water can remove jointing material as well as surface dirt. The amount depends on condition and method. A driveway with loose or sinking blocks needs more assessment than simply sweeping sand into the gaps.
Allow for drying
Suitable sand-jointed blocks are refilled when the surface and joints are dry enough for the material and method. Damp conditions can prevent an effective finish. This is why one cleaning visit can become a clean plus a later return.
Put it in the written scope
Ask whether refilling is included, which material will be used and how weather affects the return. Joint maintenance can help the paving function as intended, but it does not repair failed bedding or permanently stop weeds.
